How to do kick counts
Choose a time: Pick a time of day when your baby is usually active.
Get comfortable: Lie down on your left side or sit in a comfortable chair to get your hands on your abdomen.
Focus and count: Count each movement you feel, such as a kick, flutter, roll, or swish.
Note the time: Keep track of the time it takes to feel 10 movements.
What to expect: You should ideally feel at least 10 movements within a two-hour period. Many babies reach 10 movements in an hour or less.
Important: If you notice a significant decrease in your baby's movements or are concerned about the pattern, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
